Hickenlooper does a great job of presenting his subject (Bingenheimer) while telling the bigger story of the history of West Coast rock music. A great collection of musicians lend themselves to this project, and in many cases show sides to their personalities not present in most interviews. The film also features some great archival performances. I personally feel it's worth a buy, but at the very least rent it for the extras that you would miss on cable.
