That's so cool that you went. I've heard the new stadium is really cool. They were here last year on my birthday, so I go tickets. It was killer, so full of Steelers' fans that it sounded like a home game.
I was thinking about that too. I believe that when Tommy is cleared to return, he will most likely sit down with Cower and the Offensive coaching staff and go over their options. My guess is if the team is continuing to do well, Tommy will "volunteer" to remain as the back-up. Since Tommy's contract reverts to back-up pay next year, and he has a desire to coach one day, I think he's smart enough to realize that he's in a great position going out on an injury. I don't believe his arm will be very strong if he comes back this year, and at this point in his career, I don't believe any other team would want him for a starter. So his best bet is to stay with the team that wants to pay him to hold a clipboard, instead of trying to find another team who'd want him to do the same thing. Plus if he does come back, he'll be compared to a younger kid with a stronger arm and better feet. The hook on him may be short and that could lead to managment souring on him. As it stands now, Ben leans on him quite a bit, but if Tommy goes out there with a rubber elbow, you get your young stud seeing this guy make errors. That costs you as a mentor. So my guess is save a complete nose dive, Tommy will stay on the sidelines with a cap and clipboard for the next few years, until he decides to move into coaching.
The new stadium is has it's ups and downs. I like it better than 3 rivers, but the open end of the stadium really does cut down on crowd noise and the PA is hard to hear in some parts of the stadium. PNC Park kicks its respective ass even though the Pirates suck dog balls. Plus they are talking about banning tailgaiiting and I think the city might riot if that happens.
I do think Tommy will sit it out as well, I just pray that he stays healthy though.
Yeah. Me too. One because he's a good guy and two - I have zip confidence in St. Pierre or Quinn. I really like Batch, but I think he might be odd man out next year, unless he reduces salary. I'd like to see him stay because he's a local 'burgher and a huge charity guy.

Carra, Dunegan and I were at the game! They look good. Wonder what they are gonna do when Tommy gets better though?
